Vera Morris, Ms. United World 2023
On September 4th, 2022, Vera Morris was crowned Ms. United World 2023 in a pageant held in Round Rock, Tx.
“NORTH CAROLINA, I did it,” Morris posted on Facebook. “I am so honored to be your new Ms. United World 2023!! Hard work & determination pays off!”
In addition to winning the title of Ms. United World 2023, Vera took home the People’s Choice, Interview, and Photogenic award. The proceeds from her People’s Choice award will support Treasure Your Chest, Inc.

Meet Your New Ms. United World 2023
Vera Morris is a consultant at Yardi Systems, Inc. and a Professional Model with Marilyn’s Agency, Greensboro, NC.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from the University of Georgia.
The new Ms. United World isn’t a stranger to pageants.
Vera represented North Carolina at the televised Miss USA 1998 pageant. She was awarded the Miss Congeniality award. As Miss North Caolina USA, Vera received numerous opportunities, including acting gigs, modeling contracts, and a chance to appear on Wheel of Fortune.
Vera’s platform organization is “Treasure Your Chest.” She is on a mission to empower and educate women all over the world about breast health.
In 2015, Vera became an Ambassador for Susan G. Komen. She’s been participating in the races for over 5 years to raise awareness. She also served as an Honorary Chairperson for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Charlotte NC and Ambassador for the Pretty in Pink Foundation.
On top of those incredible philanthropic accomplishments, Vera is also a Certified Community Ambassador for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The 2023 Ms. United World Pageant
Vera kicked off pageant weekend with orientation and photo shoots on September 2.
During pageant orientation, all contestants competing for titles meet in person and network. This is also a chance to review the pageant game plan and agenda.
“The United World Pageants Weekend is underway,” Vera shared on Facebook. “We had orientation this morning, & a photo shoot this afternoon. It has been so much fun getting to know my amazing pageant sisters!”
The contestants also participated in the first annual Blue Cocktail Party.
Contestants in the United World Pageants compete in the following phases of competition:
- Photogenic – 20%
- Interview – 30%
- Fitness/Swimwear – 25%
- Evening Gown – 25%
Delegates who make it to the final round will receive an on stage question. This score is combined with the contestants’ overall score.
