Tech conferences provide a way to network with industry leaders, learn about upcoming trends, and connect with recruiters. I’ve attended a few tech conferences in the past, and I’m always inspired by what everyone else is doing in the space.

My background is in financial services, but I believe tech is the future of every industry. It’s important to stay ahead of what’s going on and think about how you can incorporate tech into your current role.

When I worked in accounting, I studied for the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam so that I could add more value to my team. I constantly ask myself, “what do I need to know to continue to grow on this journey?” Continuous education is the name of the game, and it will ensure that you are relevant and at the top of list for various opportunities.

If you’re in tech or seeking to walk down that path, make sure you stay connected to everything going on. You may not have time to read through the latest company news every week, but you can participate in activities that keep you sharp. You never know how your insights might open the door to another opportunity.
